B & S manufacture about 50% more small engines for power equipment than Honda – who are the second most prolific small engine maker… Keep in mind small engine does not mean motorcycle engine – it typically means less than 20 hp.

Briggs and Stratton makes about 10 million small gasoline engines per year for use in their own power equipment and other brands power equipment.

Their engines are used in mowers, snow throwers, pressure washers, portable generators.

John Deere, Husqvarna, Toro and Troy-Bilt all have models of power equipment with Briggs and Stratton engines.
