Everything You Need To Know About PressureWashr.com

ByJamey Kramaric Reviewed onFebruary 2, 2024

Hi, I’m Jamey, Founding Editor and Expert Pressure Washer

About Page Hi Im Jamey

I started this website because I have 15+ years combined experience as a commercial power washer and mechanical engineer (UBC Mech) designing and constructing industrial wash-pads at Rio Tinto (Iron Ore Australia). These wash-pads rely heavily on industrial pressure washers, electric motors and pumps and cost upwards of a million dollars each (when you include for labour, materials and earthworks).

These pressure washing stations were deployed at mine sites and were used to wash the light vehicles (cars and small trucks). Some were fully automatic and some were manual. Each used two industrial pressure washers, usually hot water electric with around 2,500 PSI and 4.5 GPM.

I spent a lot of hours researching and talking to pressure washing company sales people over the years and believe I am an expert on the technical side. As mentioned above I also spent 3+ years employed as a power washer at a rendering plant cleaning concrete breezeways, parking lots, weigh stations and industrial equipment day-in-day-out. There I used either a cold-water belt-driven gas power washer or a hot water electric – both in the 5 GPM and 3000 PSI ranges. So I’m also quite familiar with how to use and maintain pressure washers as well as their technical workings.

Over the years I’ve developed a love for them and started this website to ensure I not only know about the industrial ones (from work) but also the residential ones. So for the past 7+ years I’ve focused on buying, testing, comparing and reviewing the residential machines and shared my findings on PressureWashr.

What better way to learn than to test, research and review in real life? Check out our How We Test guide.

What’s With The Misspelling of PressureWashr?

I wanted a short name that easily identified with pressure washer. PressureWasher.com was taken. PowerWasher.com was taken. pressurewashr.com (without the ‘e’) was available and I thought it looked kinda cool. Kinda trendy, I guess. I mean flickr.com did the same thing and it worked out for them.
